So you need a Bank Account... One of the first things anyone should do when first starting college is set up a bank account. (You don't really expect to keep all your money in your mattress now do you???) On campus there really is only one choice and that would be Bank of America. Not because of their great service (because they can be really slow) or their bank account options (because their interest rates aren't great and they have a service charge for every account.) it's because they are the only ones that have ATM's on campus. And they know it too! They laugh because everyone else has to pay a $1.50 service charge to use their ATM's. I know a lot of people with Wells Fargo because they have free checking... maybe that's why BoFA is starting to charge service fees on their student checking accounts as well... because they can get away with it! Unfair... maybe. Then again there are only two ATM's on campus anyway. Click on the links to the right to do your banking online. |
