Train troubles and Fast Ways of Getting Around
For those of you that have been in Reno for a while... you know where the slow lights are and what streets not to take. Virginia street for example is clogged constantly once you get past the freeway. (Especially on weekends as kids go cruising on the five block stretch we call a strip.) Everybody knows to go South downtown you take Sierra and Center when going North. If you cruise around 30-35 mph you can hit all the greens no problem.

Here's a light that's a killer when going to the University... when getting off I-80 going East downtown, the light at Sierra can last like five minutes. What I've found is if you turn right down Sierra and then turn left onto the first street possible, you can then turn left again onto Virginia --> straight to school. There have been tons of times I've left the suckers sitting at the light as I pass them up onto school. It's totally legal... you're just travelling a little bit farther to get somewhere faster.
