Leifson Physics

The Leifson Physics Building is named after Sigmund W. Leifson (1897-1984), a nationally recognized nuclear physicist and a pioneer in the theory of atomic energy. Leifson was a professor of Physics (1925-1963) and chairman of the Physics department here at the University of Nevada.

It is home to the Physics and Criminal Justice departments, and the Physical Sciences Library.
