![]() The College of Agriculture is named after Max C. Fleischmann (1877-1951), a Nevada philanthropist, food industry millionaire, and benefactor to the University of Nevada with gifts of land, scholarships, and endowments. The Fleishmann Foundation has contributed much to this university, and helped establish the Fleishmann Planetarium, the Desert Reseach Institute, and the Judicial College Building. The Fleischmann Life Sciences Building is currently home to the Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine departments, the Life and Health Sciences Library, and a rare and endangered species exhibit of Nevada birds and mammals. |
