Location: Home >> Legends Mainpage>> Clark Administration ![]() The Clark Administration building was originally known as the Clark Library when it was built in 1926. It is named after Alice McNamus Clark, a native Nevadan and wife of William A. Clark Jr., son of a Montana senator who built railroads in Southern Nevada. Mrs. Clark gave several scholarships to the university, and after her death, her husband donated the Library in her name. As the university's second library at the time(excluding Morrill Hall), it was the cultural and research center of the university for more than three decades until the library moved to its present location in 1962. It used to contain Admissions and Records. Now it houses the offices of our President and Vice Presidents. |
